Former top 25 tennis player from Montreal starts fundraising campaign to keep competing
WATCH: Tennis player Aleksandra Wozniak insists she has the game to compete with the best tennis players in the world. As Global's Tim Sargeant reports, the Montreal-born athlete launched a crowfunding campaign to help pay for her comeback.
Aleksandra Wozniak can still hit some mean ground strokes — but recent injuries have made it very difficult for her to compete at her top level.
The 30-year-old tennis player has recovered and is now determined to work her way back into the top 100.
Her current WTA ranking is 337 — a long way from her personal best of 21 in 2009.
